Let’s try this again. Here’s the winning entry from the Knitting Nest’s picnic contest, the take-out dinner. I also liked the Crobasco, just for sheer fun’s sake.
Speaking of the Knitting Nest, the shop has some fun events and classes on tap for August. Aug. is a Fix your Knits class from 2 to 5 p.m. The class costs $45 and sounds like a great resource for all knitting levels. Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. is movie (and henna) night. “Monsoon Wedding” is the movie of choice, and local henna artist Nicole Di Mucci will create henna tattoos for event-goers. Thinking it’s too hot to knit? how about crocheting snowflakes? get a jump on your holiday crafting Aug. 25 from 2-4.
